Below are the full festival details:
Hoppin’ John Festival at Shakori Hills in Chatham County this year with various concerts, dances, music competitions, workshops from Thursday through Saturday.
Much of the theme will be traditional American string band music with music competitions, square dance, and clogging, but also Zydeco and Forró
For dancers there will be a Friday Night Zydeco concert and dance with Cedric Watson from Louisiana. There will be a Forró lesson and dance on Saturday 6:45 PM. What is Brazilian Forró (check it out Here ). There will be various square dances through the festival and workshops and performances for clogging and flat footing.
Weekend passes and individual day tickets available with a deadline of Sep. 9 to purchase advance discount tickets.
