TCD Community Contra Dance and Potluck

Contra Dance sponsored by Triangle Country Dancers and Carolina Theatre Family Saturday Series. Geared for families.

Potluck from 5:30 – 6:30, please bring a vegetarian dish or dessert to share

Dancing from 6:30 – 9:30, with an interlude of jokes, songs, and door prizes

Admission is on a sliding scale: Individual $5-$10, Family $12-$20

You are invited to bring (if you wish):

• a vegetarian dish or dessert to share

• your own plate or bowl and utensils (we will have extra)

• yourself, your friends, kids you love, and elders you cherish

• singing voices

The event is an intergenerational community dance, welcoming people of all ages, including kids, teens, adults, and elders. After the potluck, we will be doing easier longways and circle dances in the first half, and squares, contras, and novelty dances in the second half. We end with a community waltz and song.
