Raleigh’s annual Free Artsplosure, Raleigh Arts Festival, in Downtown Raleigh is Saturday and Sunday May 18 and 19 with two dance oriented bands on the Saturday. There are art exhibits, food, with three blocks of Fayetteville Street closed off from Morgan to City Plaza. Terrance Simeon and the Zydeco Experience is a Zydeco band from Louisiana playing at 2 PM, and Sabrosura a local salsa small band playing at 3:30. The headliner is the Sun Ra Arkestra, famous jazz band finishing the day at 6:30. I am not familiar with the Bands on Sunday. Website .
