DESCRIPTION:Event by Toni Craige\n\nEVENT SCHEDULE:\nFolks can make a day o
 f it by also attending the CI Fundamentals Class in the morning from 10:00
 -12:30pm.\n\n1:30-2:30 - TALK-THROUGH of the Underscore for new folks incl
 udes verbal and experiential education on this form of ensemble improvisat
 ion. Mandatory for folks who have never received a detailed Talk-Through o
 f the Underscore\, and suggested for anyone who wants a refresher. It will
  definitely deepen your experience to attend the Talk-Through.\n* UNDERSCO
 RE - 2:30-5:30 - Please arrive on time and stay for the entire duration!\n
 *2:15-2:35- Arriving physically and energetically - please arrive into the
  space in silence. Keep social talking in the lobby. Use this as a time to
  ground. Take care of payment and other needs so that you can be present.\
 n*2:35-3:00 - Assembly - Dancers introduce themselves and any "seeds" or i
 ntentions they wish to bring to the space.\n*3:00-5:00 - The dancing! - Re
 member that you are "always in" and contributing to the composition of the
  space. Toni will lightly guide the first few stages of the Underscore.\n*
 5:00-5:15 - Reflection/Harvest - Dancers can write\, draw or process the e
 xperience in their own way.\n*5:15-5:30 - Sharing/Thanksgiving - Dancers r
 eform in a circle and share about the experience.\nABOUT THE UNDERSCORE:\n
 From Nancy Stark Smith's website\, a description of the Underscore:\n"The 
 Underscore is a long-form dance improvisation structure developed by Nancy
  Stark Smith. It has been evolving since 1990 and is practiced all over th
 e globe.\nThe Underscore is a vehicle for incorporating Contact Improvisat
 ion into a broader arena of improvisational dance practice\; for developin
 g greater ease dancing in spherical space—alone and with others\; and fo
 r integrating kinesthetic and compositional concerns while improvising. It
  allows for a full spectrum of energetic and physical expressions\, embody
 ing a range of forms and changing states. Its practice is familiar yet unp
 redictable.\nThe practice—usually 3 to 4 hours in length—progresses th
 rough a broad range of dynamic states\, including long periods of very sma
 ll\, private\, and quiet internal activity and other times of higher energ
 y and interactive dancing."\nDETAILS:\n* If you have never practiced the U
 nderscore before\, the talk-through from 1:30-2:30 PM is MANDATORY. We ask
  that you stay for the entire event. No latecomers past 2:35 will gain ent
 ry. If you have a specific conflict with this\, you may email Toni to ask 
 about it.\n* Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for the talk-through to be r
 eady to begin at 1:30\n* If you have experience with the Underscore\, you 
 are welcome to skip the Talk-Through\n* Some CI and/or dance improvisation
  experience will be helpful for this event.\n* Wear comfortable clothing t
 hat covers your shoulders and knees (a t-shirt plus sweats or pajama pants
  is ideal). Layers are also nice since activities will range from quiet an
 d meditative to vigorous.\n\n\nPRICING/REGISTRATION:\n* Event is $20/45/70
  sliding scale. $45 is the suggested amount\, $20 is for those with less a
 ccess to resources\, and $70 is for those with more access to resources. P
