Class Descriptions and Levels:
Zydeco- Basic Zydeco, beginners as well as more advanced welcome. Great funky dance from the French Creole community of Southern Louisiana with flavors of blues, R&B, and soul.
Cumbia- Latin dance from Colombia and very popular in Mexico with a syncopated off beat rhythm and catchy groove.
Bachata- Stephen will teach on advanced beginner and intermediate level so dancers should be familiar with basic, though if you are new and want to take it check with us and we might be able to prep you in advancer. Bachata is a sensual slow tempo dance from Dominican Republic that has become extremely popular.
Salsa- Jack will teach advanced beginners as well as new beginners on 1 which is California, Miami style. We will emphasize musicality and listening to the music as well as basic core moves.
Lindy- A very high energy swing dance from the Big Band Era with fast partnerwork and uptempo music.
Blues- Slow tempo, sensual, improvisational dance often to slow blues music. It is not a set step dance as much as an improvisational journey.
